How NUA Social compares.
The honest version: what actually drives the cost difference between per-seat, per-channel and per-organization pricing.
| Product | Pricing model | 2026 price band | What that means |
|---|---|---|---|
| NUA Social | Per organization, tiered | Free / A$39 / A$99 / A$249 per month | See the full plan comparison for exact limits per plan. |
| Buffer | Per channel | Free (3 channels); Essentials $5–6/channel/mo; Team $10–12/channel/mo | Cost scales directly with channel count. |
| Hootsuite | Per seat | No free plan; Standard $99/user/mo (5 accounts); Advanced $249–399/user/mo | A 5-seat team starts near $495/mo before add-ons. |
| Sprout Social | Per seat | $79–399/seat/mo, annual billing required for the advertised rate | A 10-seat team: roughly $23,880–47,880/year. |
| Postiz Cloud | Per organization, tiered by channel count | $29–99/mo (5 → unlimited channels) | Closest structural analog to NUA’s own per-organization model. |
All non-NUA prices in USD as sourced; NUA prices in AUD. Currencies are not directly comparable without a conversion — shown here to compare pricing model, not to claim NUA is cheaper in absolute terms at every team size. At low channel counts, Buffer’s per-channel rate can be cheaper than NUA’s flat per-organization tiers.
Why the model matters more than the headline number
Per-seat and per-channel pricing both scale with your team or your account count. A 15-account team evaluating a per-channel plan, or a 5-person team evaluating a per-seat plan, can land well above NUA’s flat per-organization pricing at the same usage level — the structural difference matters more than comparing headline monthly prices alone.
